Tap-on, tap-off payments across 400 buses in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire
Following a successful pilot, East Midlands bus company trentbarton will roll out tap-on, tap-off contactless payments across all its services from Sunday, October 6, 2019.
The variable fare mass transit transaction model, powered by Littlepay and supplied in partnership with Ticketer, was first trialled across 11 skylink Derby routes in February this year. Now, the payments system is being adopted by trentbarton’s entire fleet, which includes 400 buses across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
It’s simple: just ‘tap & cap’
trentbarton managing director Jeff Counsell says:
“The contactless roll-out is about giving our customers even more convenience and choice.”
